	The Heidelberg Workshop Otology offers once more internationally renown masters of the microsurgery of the middle ear. The main focus will be on active middle ear implants and cochlear implants. A compact presentation of current technologies and surgical techniques will be guaranteed. We plan to add to the didactic talks about the indications of the cochlear implantation, the field of electric-acoustic stimulation and the active middle ear implants live surgery wherever possible. furthermore we would like to dare a look into future developments. The interactive course is ideal for the beginner as for the expert alike, as the possibilities to exchange views and tips from the experts during the surgery, the talks, the workshops and the social breaks. The aspects of neural monitoring, intraoperative measurements and audiological pearls will be worthwhile. The temporal bone wet lab does give the opportunity to enhance the personal experience in tutored exercises. We are loking forward to welcome you for this compact course in Heidelberg!
